Planner - File Options
This panel allows you to modify the options related to the creation of planner files.
Select the location for the planner files |
Default client file folder |
Saves the planner files in the default client file location. |
Same folder as source file |
Saves the planner files in the same folder as the client files from the current taxation year. If the client files from the current taxation year come from a number of folders and you want to use the same folders this year, use this option. |
|
Specify a folder |
Saves the planner files in the specified folder. If you want to save all the planner client files in a single folder, use this option. |
Prompt for file name when single file rolled forward |
When single file is rolled forward, this option allows you to save the planner file under another name and in another location than the one defined by default. |
Show log after creating the planner files |
Displays the log automatically after planner files are created. |
Overwrite existing files |
Replaces the existing version of the planner file. By default, if a planner file with the same name and the same location is detected, a message will display prompting you to rename the file. Select this option only if you want Personal Taxprep to replace the existing planner file. This option is only available when you display the options before creating the planner files (see below). |
Attached files |
Roll forward attached files |
This option allows you to select the desired roll forward type for the attached files. |
Roll forward by file types |
Allows you to roll forward all files of the selected type(s), i.e. Excel, Word, PDF or Other. Note: If CCH Scan or iScan is used, do not select the option allowing you to roll forward PDF documents. It is preferable to individually select the files for roll forward with the To roll forward check box, under the Attached Files tab in the Properties dialog box. |
|
Only roll forward files selected for roll forward |
Allows you to only roll forward the files selected for roll forward with the To roll forward check box, under the Attached Files tab in the Properties dialog box. |
Show options before creating the planner files |
Displays a dialog box that allows you to modify the options when creating planner files. Clear this check box if you do not want to display the options when creating a planner file. |
